The search for a new Chief Executive

December 31, 2022

From the Board of Directors of Ward Lumber Worker Cooperative:

For many years, we have had the privilege and honor of having Sidney “Jay” Ward, III, leading Ward Lumber through the growths and challenges experienced by most small businesses.  In March of 2021, he sold the family business to his second family, the employees of Ward Lumber.  He made this decision in preparation of his retirement to ensure the continuation of this community cornerstone.  Jay has announced his desire to retire by December 2023.  As such, we are beginning the search process for a new Chief Executive Officer so they may train with Jay in 2023 and lead us in the next chapter of growth and prosperity.  Anyone interested in being considered for the position may find the details on the Ward Lumber website, Facebook page or by contacting Human Resources at payroll@wardlumber.com.

Thank you Jay!
We are beginning our search for a new Chief Executive today
