Jay grew up in a family with a gardening tradition and participated in the family garden on and off. However as an adult looking for good food, raised organically with a limited carbon footprint, Jay took up gardening in a more serious way. Using a loose adaptation of the Square Foot Gardening method, Jay grows a variety of vegetables in raised beds on his farm in Jay. Favorite veggies to grow include Sungold tomatoes (technically a fruit), carrots, garlic, onions, potatoes, peas, kale and anything else his family will eat.
